About the role
The Senior Cultural Spaces Lead will manage and coordinate the development and delivery of keeping places related to the Stolen Generations Keeping Places Project, to ensure the successful delivery of project outcomes aligned with organisational priorities and government commitments. The role contributes to respectful, culturally informed, and sustainable outcomes through effective project planning, stakeholder engagement, and performance monitoring.
Some of the key accountabilities of the role include:
* Manage the end-to-end delivery of keeping places related to the Stolen Generations Keeping Places Project and associated initiatives, including managing project team/s, contractors and delivery partners.
* Manage development applications, related development approval processes and documentation, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in alignment with government commitments, cultural protocols, and quality standards.
* Develop and maintain strong partnerships with key external stakeholders, including cultural, community, heritage, and government bodies, to support collaborative, respectful, and sustainable project development and delivery.
* Manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, including project planning, resource coordination, budget management, contract and supplier oversight, and reporting, in line with approved project management methodologies and quality standards.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Experience managing place-based projects with a focus on heritage conservation, cultural outcomes, and community benefit.
* Experience delivering infrastructure projects, particularly within a government context.
* Knowledge of stakeholder and community engagement principles, including working respectfully with culturally sensitive communities.
* Demonstrated ability to navigate diverse perspectives to achieve inclusive and sustainable project outcomes.
* Knowledge of the Stolen Generations Keeping Places Project, including its purpose, cultural significance, and alignment with government commitments to truth-telling, healing, and preservation of First Nations heritage.
Essential Requirements
* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or demonstrated equivalent relevant professional experience.
