About This Role
As a Clinical Nurse in the Special Care Nursery, you will deliver advanced, evidence-based neonatal care and provide clinical leadership within a holistic, multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
Deliver advanced clinical assessment, planning and coordination of neonatal patient care.
Practice autonomously while providing clinical leadership, mentoring and support to the nursing team.
Manage complex care needs and apply critical thinking to guide clinical decision-making.
Support unit activities including shift coordination, portfolio responsibilities and quality improvement initiatives.
Contribute to research, clinical audits and evidence-based practice improvements across the service.
About You
Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
Demonstrated advanced neonatal assessment and complex care skills.
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and clinical leadership abilities.
Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams to support safe, high-quality patient care.
A commitment to continuous learning, reflective practice and supporting the development of others.
Willingness to work all shifts aligned to the unit roster.
