The Rewards Manager is responsible for designing and delivering reward solutions that align with business strategy and drive both organisational and individual performance. This role plays a key part in shaping a competitive and effective rewards framework that supports talent attraction, retention, and motivation across Optus.
Working closely with HR and business leaders, the Rewards Manager provides strategic and operational guidance on remuneration, benefits, and recognition programs. The role also ensures alignment with Singtel Group’s rewards philosophy and policies. In addition, the Rewards Manager will lead cross-functional HR projects and company-wide initiatives, developing solutions that address complex business challenges and contribute to overall people and performance outcomes.
What you'll be doing:
* Lead and project manage the execution of key annual rewards programs, including remuneration review, special incentives, performance, promotion and market benchmarking initiatives.
* Ensure clear, effective communication of rewards programs and policies, aligned with the Optus Employee Partnership Agreement and tailored for leaders and employees.
* Act as a strategic rewards partner to business units, aligning remuneration with market trends, HR initiatives, and business objectives while providing expert consulting and support.
* Deliver remuneration reporting, analytics, and commercial modelling to support decision-making across Optus and Singtel.
Review and enhance rewards policies and procedures, driving change and ensuring alignment with the Optus Employee Partnership Agreement.
What makes you perfect for the role
* Tertiary degree in business, HR, finance, or related field, with 4–8 years in a specialist remuneration role and experience in large organisations.
* Avanced Excel proficiency, sound financial and analytical abilities, and experience with job architecture and remuneration modelling.
* Extensive hands-on experience of SAP SuccessFactors performance and compensation modules.
* Ability to present complex concepts clearly, influence stakeholders at all levels, and facilitate training sessions
Demonstrated success in managing complex projects and working effectively across cross-functional teams.
* Self-motivated, innovative, customer-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure while maintaining strong team collaboration
