Our client is a well-established insurance broking and risk advisory firm, with a strong presence on the east coast of Australia and offices in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. The firm possesses an experienced team who are able to provide valuable industry insights across a range of business and personal insurance lines including all aspects of business insurance, group income protection, home and motor and specialist industry programs for a range of sectors including building and construction, fire protection, hospitality, franchises, transport, recruitment, waste, IT and retail to name a few. Currently, the organisation is looking to recruit the role of QLD Account Manager. The role Reporting to the National Development Manager, the position will focus on the management, retention and growth of the nominated client base in QLD. More specifically, you will be involved in the following: Managing a portfolio of commercial business customers with a focus on growth and retention; Building strong client relationships and providing a high level of service by understand their needs and goals; Presenting options and recommendations around insurance and risk management that align with these goals; Negotiating terms and preparing and completing renewals; Acting on behalf of clients to settle claims; Identifying uninsured risks and making recommendations on policies and products; and Preparing monthly compliance reporting, general administration upkeep and maintaining CIP points. Required Experience 3+ years' experience in a similar client focused role within the insurance sector; Demonstrated knowledge around one more of the company's insurance lines; Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously, while also having a team focus; Passionate and proactive about continuous learning; Strong planning, time management and multi-tasking skills; Strong values alignment including integrity, honesty, service focused, empathy, passion and transparency; and Well-developed computer skills, including a good working knowledge of MS programs and broking systems.
