Main Responsibilities
* Utilize advisory and litigation skills in a government solicitor role while working on a variety of matters under the guidance of senior solicitors.
* Manage a caseload of legal advice and litigation, with supportive supervision.
* Conduct research and interpret legislation to provide high-quality advice.
* Brief Counsel at proceedings and hearings.
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders, customers, and their representatives.
Key Requirements
* Australian Lawyer admission, with at least 2 years' post-admission experience as an Australian lawyer in the public or private sector, preferably with litigation experience.
* Strong legal research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify key issues independently.
* Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to deliver quality work on time.
* Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders and litigants.
