As an APS 5 Officer within the Financial Learning Directorate, you will focus on:
- Identifying, interpreting and clarifying learning and development requirements to meet business needs and promoting a learning culture.
- Analysing, designing, developing, conducting and evaluating learning and development activities.
- Building and sustaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business outcomes and resolve problems.
- Utilising contemporary adult learning principles and tools.
**About our Team**
The Director, Financial Learning reports to the Assistant Secretary Financial Compliance. The Financial Compliance Branch sits within the Budgets and Financial Services Division and supports the Department of Defence by providing a framework of financial policies and advice to support staff in exercising their financial responsibilities. There are a broad range of specialised financial activities undertaken within the Financial Compliance Branch including Financial policy, Financial compliance, Financial Learning, Travel Policy and Tax Management.
The Financial Learning Directorate plays a vital role in managing the Financial Learning and Development program to support exemplary financial practice across Defence. The team helps to inform and educate Defence personnel to make sound decisions around Defence financial management, through practical interpretation of financial policy and processes. The team is responsible for delivering generalist and specialist financial learning solutions in a variety of formats including video, eLearning and face-to-face training (both in-person and online).

- Experience developing eLearning and/or video-based learning solutions or experience analysing, developing and delivering adult learning.
