About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Manager to lead our growing Queensland operations across Truflo Pumping Systems and Aquaflo Hire. Based at our new purpose-built facility in Coolum and commencing in January 2026, this role plays a key part in driving performance, safety, and quality across production, repairs, and servicing operations.
You will oversee a skilled team including 6 - 10 fitters working across both business divisions, ensuring fast, efficient turnaround times, strong communication, and consistent delivery of assets ready for hire or dispatch. This is a hands‑on leadership position reporting to the Queensland Branch Manager that blends operational management, people leadership, and strategic collaboration to support national business objectives and exceptional customer service outcomes.
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, motivate, and support a growing production team of 6–10 fitters across Truflo and Aquaflo Hire operations.
Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork, encouraging pride in workmanship and continuous improvement.
Coach and develop team members through clear expectations, active engagement, and performance support to drive growth and capability.
Production Operations
Oversee daily repair, servicing, and production activities to meet deadlines and uphold high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Drive continuous improvement through effective scheduling, resource planning, and process optimisation to boost productivity and reduce downtime.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support
Partner with the National Aquaflo Hire Manager and key teams to ensure assets are serviced, maintained, and hire‑ready.
Collaborate across Repairs, Sales, Procurement, and Project teams to coordinate materials, align priorities, and deliver seamless customer service.
Safety & Compliance
Champion a proactive safety‑first culture, ensuring all activities comply with WHS standards and company procedures.
Lead by example in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
Planning & Reporting
Develop and maintain production and servicing plans aligned with business goals and key deadlines.
Monitor KPIs related to output, efficiency, quality, and safety—reporting regularly to the QLD Site Manager and National Aquaflo Hire Manager.
What You Bring
Proven leadership in a manufacturing, mechanical, or equipment hire environment.
Strong communication, organisation, and problem‑solving skills.
Knowledge of pump systems or hire operations (desirable).
Commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
Trade qualification in mechanical fitting or related discipline (preferred).
Demonstrated leadership experience in a workshop, hire, or manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of pump systems, mechanical servicing, or equipment hire operations highly desirable.
Competency in production scheduling, planning tools, and Microsoft Office suite.
