BDM - Sales Executive - Foodservice - Sunshine Coast

Markris has historically been a supplier to the fine dining sector of the industry and have now built on that to expand their product range which enables them to supply all sectors of the hospitality industry including restaurants, cafes, pizzerias, fish and chips, caterers, clubs, bars, resorts, schools, hospitals etc.

Reporting to the owners, the purpose of the newly created Business Development Account Executive role is to generate new sales opportunities and manage existing customer relationships through the delivery of exceptional customer service within set guidelines in a Sunshine Coast territory.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Ensuring the development of strong relationships with current and new accounts and develop new sales opportunities through cold calling
* Maintain and develop key customers by regular site visits.
* Managing a portfolio of assigned customers to achieve long‑term success and sales
* Actively fostering and maintaining positive and profitable relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Contribute towards the development of annual budgets and monthly forecasts, monitor performance against targets and take timely action to correct under‑budget performance.
* Actively negotiate for increased share to grow distribution of the products throughout key account outlets and achieve this through strong relationships with key accounts as well as groups.
* Build and foster strong customer relationships with clear targets, KPI's and business plans.
* Assist with the development and delivery of the sales strategy.
Ideally you are currently in a similar role managing a territory focused on driving business through the foodservice channel and you are skilled in selling and the marketing of food or food related products. With a genuine passion to impact the value of your territory, you are capable of managing and developing strong business relationships in your territory with your customers.
Critical to your success will be your skills around negotiation, presentation and relationships.
Other essential experience is:
* Account or area / territory management in the foodservice channel, hospitality, FMCG or related channels
* Strong interpersonal & negotiation skills / clear written & verbal communication
* 3+ years sales experience within the foodservice (or similar) industry
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills that foster strong levels of collaboration and engagement from customers
* Strong planning and organisational skills
* Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
* Excellent selling and negotiation skills
* Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to work independently and efficiently
* Demonstrable ability to understand and meet customers' needs
* IT literate - Experience with CRM is advantageous
You have a multinational or SME FMCG sales background and are currently an account manager or territory manager looking for a new role with a growing and innovative company. Based on the Sunshine Coast (or looking to move here), your background will be able to demonstrate success working within the FMCG channel.
