The Opportunity
We are seeking an Aircraft Life Support Fitter to join our Amberley Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team at F/A-18F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler.
MRO Services support the following platforms at RAAF Base Amberley: F/A-18F Super Hornet, EA-18G Growler, Boeing Airpower Teaming System (ATS), C-17A Globemaster, and E-7A Wedgetail.
**Responsibilities**:
- Ensuring compliance to 145 Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE)
- Support the MRO Team to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks to achieve successful production of serviceable aircraft
- Outfit and instruct aircrew on the use and operation of flying clothing and life support equipment
Experience / Qualifications
- Certificate III in Aircraft Life Support & Furnishing or equivalent
- Previous experience on F/A-18 E/F or EA-18G aircraft life support systems as a maintenance certifier / trade supervisor
- Previous fabrication / design experience on life support aeronautical product
- Experience in use of industrial sewing machines
- Be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of Aviation Quality Assurance (QA) procedures and the DASR 145 Aircraft Maintenance Regulatory Framework
- Be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety procedures
- Hold or be able to obtain a Defence Security Clearance of Negative Vetting 1
