We are currently seeking a senior System Engineer specializing as an escalation point for an initial 3-month contract with extension highly likely.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Acting as the primary point of contact for L3 escalations, demonstrating precision and expertise in resolving complex technical issues.
2. Playing a vital role in project initiatives, including system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure deployments.
3. Providing mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering their growth through knowledge sharing and expertise.
4. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize IT solutions aligned with business objectives.
5. Documenting project plans, configurations, and resolutions to facilitate seamless knowledge transfer and maintain comprehensive records.
Skills and Experience: The successful candidate will possess:
6. Extensive experience in L3 support, showcasing proficiency in navigating and resolving complex technical challenges.
7. Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure, Intune, and virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
8. Understanding of networking concepts, protocols and troubleshooting. Experience with Aruba would be highly regarded.
9. Experience with any ITSM tools (Our client uses 4me)
10. Project experience is advantageous but not essential.
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders and providing guidance to junior team members.
Qualifications: Whilst not essential, the following qualifications would be highly regarded.
12. Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, Windows Server Administration Fundamentals, Windows 11 Fundamentals.
13. AWS Certifications: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
14. Cisco Certifications: CCNP and CCNA
15. Aruba Certifications: ACA and ACSA.
