Whyalla Stuart Primary School is a small, tight-knit school community committed to the academic and social growth, and overall wellbeing of our students. We are proud of the relationships we have with our students, staff and families, and know that they're a critical component of our school's success.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Specialist Teacher to teach across the school in our four classes for Term 4.
The school has a strong focus on Literacy. Teachers develop phonemic awareness using Heggerty, explicitly teach reading using the InitiaLit program and LGU Explicit Literacy Intervention lessons, create a structured writing program using Brightpath as a moderation tool and provide students with targeted intervention in reading and speech development.
Student Improvement is monitored through regular data collection, led by the leadership team.
Health and Physical Education has been the specialist subject in Terms 1-3, but we are happy to negotiate a subject that suits the applicant.
Please note that part time and flexible arrangements will be considered.
