Work Health and Safety Specialist Role
The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in work health and safety and rehabilitation management practices. With over 3 years of experience, you will be able to foster a safe and supportive work environment.
This is an exciting opportunity to use your expertise to influence workplace health and safety policies and procedures. You will be part of a collaborative team working closely with managers and the executive to implement and embed health and safety processes and programs.
Key responsibilities include providing WHS support and advice to corporate managers and implementing corporate WHS policies and WHS management plans. This requires a strong understanding and commitment to workplace health and safety and regulatory compliance, governance and engagement in participative work practices.
* Foster a culture of safety within the organization by promoting safe work practices and identifying areas for improvement.
* Develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements.
* Provide training and guidance to staff on health and safety matters, ensuring they are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
Apart from having the right skills and experience, this role also requires being adaptable and resilient to changing circumstances, multiple priorities and demands while managing a diverse and complex work environment.
