We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer to ensure the efficient operation of all plant and optimal product recovery to meet targets at our Coppabella Moorvale Joint Venture in Queensland, Australia.
About the Role:
This complex consists of two open-cut mine operations producing premium low-volatile pulverised coal (LV-PCI) for export markets. Reporting to the CHPP Manager, you will provide technical support and advice to stakeholders to ensure successful ramp-up and ongoing operations of the processing plants.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Delivering technical support and advice to stakeholders to ensure successful ramp-up and ongoing operations of the processing plants.
* Assisting in developing training packages, priority operating systems, and procedures.
* Supporting plant operator crews and technical teams such as Lab services.
* Ensuring lab technicians and personnel support ramp-up activities and maintain safe practices.
* Assisting in contract supervision.
* Cultivating and promoting a values-driven culture within your team to foster an inclusive and high-performing environment.
* Monitoring and reporting on plant performance.
* Taking corrective actions to meet or exceed safety and production targets.
* Evaluating operational risks and opportunities, implementing mitigation strategies.
* Developing and implementing Continual Improvement Initiatives.

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* An engineering degree in Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, or related fields.
* At least 2 years' experience in mineral comminution, beneficiation, and solid/liquid separation technologies.
* Operational and technical experience in CHPP.
* Competence in production and maintenance management, control systems engineering.
* A strong commitment to safety and risk management.
You should also demonstrate a sound understanding of risk and hazard identification, be a team player with a flexible attitude, and uphold a strong work ethic.
