Are you an experienced Veterinarian who is passionate about clinical excellence, mentoring, and developing the next generation of vets—but not interested in practice finances or business management?

Pet Universe, part of the growing CVS Vets Australia group, is seeking a Supervisory Veterinarian to provide clinical oversight and mentorship across our two well‐established South Australian practices. This is a purely clinical mentorship role with no financial or profit‐and‐loss responsibility, allowing you to focus on what you do best: assisting the Clinical Director in setting clinical standards, supporting veterinarians, and delivering exceptional patient care.

This is an ideal opportunity for a senior vet or clinical lead who wants influence without business pressure.

Work across modern clinics with advanced diagnostics, high‐quality surgical theatres, and purpose‐designed patient spaces that support gold‐standard veterinary care.

Our onsite Adelaide Canine Rehabilitation Centre offers multimodal therapies including laser, therapeutic ultrasound, TENS, underwater treadmill, and physiotherapy—delivered by CCRP‐trained professionals.

From preventative care to complex surgery, dentistry, imaging, and rehabilitation—this role offers continual clinical variety and challenge.

• Champion gold‐standard veterinary medicine across both Pet Universe locations
• Set, review, and uphold clinical standards aligned with the VPB Code of Professional Conduct and CVS Clinical Governance
• Mentor and support early‐career and developing veterinarians, building confidence, capability, and career progression
• Provide clinical guidance on complex cases, surgery, diagnostics, and treatment planning
• Lead clinical discussions, case reviews, audits, and CPD initiatives
• Foster a positive, learning‐focused clinical culture grounded in collaboration and accountability
• Advocate for best‐practice medicine and patient welfare, ensuring consistency and quality of care
• Work collaboratively with leadership—without any financial or profit responsibility

• Veterinary Surgeon qualification with current (or eligible) Australian registration
• Strong clinical experience with a commitment to best practice standards
• Passion for teaching, mentoring, and developing veterinarians
• Confident communicator who enjoys guiding and supporting others
• Experience in clinical leadership, supervision, or informal mentoring
• A values‐driven approach to patient care and professional conduct
