About the Role
This position will be responsible for managing the deliverable outcomes and associated teams for Life Cycle Replacement, Asset Management and Commissioning in support of the Immigration Detention portfolio as covered under the Immigration Services Head Contract. You will be responsible for the efficient and economical management of all infrastructure and facilities management related works and the across the Justice and Immigration network ensuring the provision of a safe, cost-effective service that meets the standards specified in the detention services and Justice contracts.
This position is fulltime reporting to the General Manager - Facilities Management and can be based in anywhere in Australia.

You are an effective and experienced manager within the building and construction trade who holds a high degree of interpersonal skills and credibility to action work with mínimal direction and supervision. You have a high level and demonstrated ability to manage multi-faceted and complex issues effectively in a context of competing priorities by providing leadership, coordination, consultation, motivation, delegation and monitoring. You're a respectful and professional person who demonstrates exceptional moral values in everything you do.
**To be successful in this role, you will have**: The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour Tertiary qualification or trade background with a strong FM/Project Management experience Degree in a building or construction discipline Diploma of Project management Diploma of Management Strong asset management experience with a variety of multi-disciplinary programs including whole of life management techniques Develop strategies and concepts for the improvement and ongoing development of Life Cycle Replacement and Asset Management.
Manage Life Cycle Replacement and Asset Management and liaise with site operational staff to submit proposals that support Serco policies while ensuring strict compliance with the Contract and all operating principals and procedures
Experience within building/construction trade and experience covering all aspects of construction, project management & contractor management Contract management and compliance experience A sound knowledge of FM operations, administration awareness, excellent communication skills and self-motivation Must have exposure to operational responsibilities with P&L accountability and budgeting experience Possess excellent people skills, commercial awareness, budget and labour management knowledge, financial astuteness and customer service skills
