October 2026 On-the-job training provided 15% afternoon shift loading 30% night shift loading Simplot are seeking highly motivated candidates for casual Production Operator opportunities, supporting our 2026 vegetable processing season at our Llanarth based vegetable and snacking processing plant. Simplot Bathurst employs approx. 260 people and having been a part of the local community since 1926, continues to produce Edgell products, as well as products for Birds Eye and Chiko. A significant investment / expansision has recently been completed at the site, transforming Simplot Bathurst into a frozen vegetable centre of excellence, enabling increased production capacity, and ultimately helping to boost local and export volumes. Reporting to the Production Manager and commencing from early March 2026, with likely end of season October 2026 - these casual roles will work a variety of 8.5 hour shifts on a day / afternoon / night Monday to Saturday roster supporting our brassica vegetable production activities. Commencing base rate of pay $41.95 p/h, incl. of casual loading 15% afternoon shift loading 30% night shift loading weekend OT where applicable. Day shift 0700 - 1530hrs Afternoon shift 1515 - 2345hrs Night shift 2230 - 0700hrs What You Will Do Working within our newly commisioned brassica vegetable processing areas - Production Operator duties may include (but are not limited to); Inspection & grading of incoming raw material (broccoli & cauliflower) Foreign object removal Safe operations of fixed plant processing machinery e.g. decoring / raw material preparation equipment Cleaning and sanitising of production lines and localised areas of work Adherence to GMP and food safety practices Accurate completion of daily shift logs / system entries Contribute to site continual improvement (CI) processes and actvitiies Work within an active manufacturing environment About You Possess a 100% commitment to safety, health and wellbeing in the workplace Ability to work across a mix of 8.5 hour shifts (day / afternoon / night) on a Monday to Saturday roster (mandatory) Ability to undertake repetitive manual handling tasks in an active, manual role Capacity to work to Standard Operating Procedure Experience in vegetable processing or relative manufacturing environment will be highly regarded Possess a high level of attention to detail with problem solving aptitude Sound written and verbal communication skills, in addition to time management skills Team player mindset A current LF forklift licence may be advantageous Available to commence in March 2026 Willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment (incl. urine based drug & alcohol screening) Please click on the "Apply" button to submit your application, ensuring a covering letter outlining your suitability for the role AND an up-to-date resume are included (noting that you will be redirected to the Simplot Careers portal).
