Lackon is a trusted provider of client side, Project and Construction Management Services, delivering infrastructure projects across Queensland and New South Wales. We're on the lookout for an experienced Project Manager with a background in Civil Engineering to join our growing team based in Cairns.
You'll work on critical local and state government projects, including water treatment facilities, community infrastructure, disaster recovery, and more. The role is ideal for those with strong client-side experience under Australian general conditions of contract, who are passionate about delivery excellence and building trusted relationships.
Your Role – What You'll Do:
* Overseeing project deliverables, schedules, costs, and quality
* Managing contracts, variations, and claims in accordance with AS contracts
* Conducting site inspections and coordinating on-site construction activities
* Building strong relationships with clients, contractors and stakeholders
* Contributing to tender submissions and proposals
* Identifying and managing project risks to drive successful outcomes
* Leading with a team-first mindset—Hungry, Humble and Smart
What We're Looking For:
* A degree in Project Management, Construction, or Engineering (or equivalent experience)
* 5+ years delivering infrastructure projects—preferably client-side
* Experience in water, civil, transport or DRFA programs
* Proven capability in contract administration, stakeholder engagement, and reporting
* A solid understanding of Australian Standard contracts and government procurement
* Strong written communication and documentation skills
