About the Service
Service - St Augustine's Long Day Care
Place - 75 place service Peaceful convenient location Close to Motorways and public transport Huge backyard if you like to sit and relax after work About the Cook role
Role - Permanent Full time role
Hours - 38 hrs per week
Days - Monday to Friday
Time - 6.30 am - 2.30 pm
Pays - $26.42 - $29.95 + Superannuation What You'll Do Create and deliver nutritious, age-appropriate meals and snacks aligned with national dietary guidelines.
Cater for dietary requirements including allergies, intolerances, and cultural needs.
Ensure food safety and cleanliness standards are consistently met.
Manage inventory, ordering supplies and reducing food waste.
Work with educators to support learning themes and special events through food.
Encourage healthy habits through engaging food experiences for children and families.
What You'll Bring Previous experience as a chef, ideally in early childhood, schools, or aged care settings.
Cert III in relevant studies would be desirable Strong understanding of child nutrition and meal planning.
Food Safety Supervisor certification (or willingness to obtain).
Excellent time management, communication, and organisational skills.
A warm, team-oriented approach and passion for children's wellbeing.
