We're seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join a leading food manufacturing business based on the Gold Coast.
This full-time, on-site role is ideal for someone who brings strong leadership skills, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is passionate about maintaining high food safety and quality standards.
About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll lead the QA function across the site—managing systems, supporting compliance, and working with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive best practice and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, coach and develop the QA team, ensuring clear structure, ongoing training and succession planning.
* Own and maintain the site's Food Safety and Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with internal standards, regulations and customer requirements.
* Manage site readiness for third-party audits and certification processes and coordinate internal audit schedules.
* Promote a strong food safety and quality culture across the business, ensuring all teams are engaged and accountable.
* Investigate and respond to food safety and quality issues, using root cause analysis to implement meaningful improvements.
* Build and manage relationships with key external stakeholders including customers, auditors, regulators and suppliers.
* Oversee site hygiene programs, supplier performance reviews and product testing requirements to support compliance and product integrity.
About You
* 5+ years' experience in a food manufacturing quality or compliance leadership role.
* Strong understanding of HACCP, VACCP, TACCP and GFSI frameworks (e.g. BRC, SQF).
* Experienced in managing internal and external audits, as well as retail customer standards (Coles, Aldi, Woolworths).
* A confident communicator with strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach.
* Comfortable working cross-functionally to solve problems and drive improvement.
* Tertiary qualifications in Food Science, Food Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
This is a fantastic opportunity to take the lead in a values-driven business that's serious about quality and growth. You'll be joining a supportive leadership team and working in a coastal location that offers both lifestyle and long-term career opportunities.
