ABOUT THE ROLE The Development Educator will play a crucial role in providing specialized developmental assessment and intervention programs for individuals with disabilities and mental health issues. This position requires a professional who is experienced, innovative, and dynamic, capable of working confidently within a multidisciplinary team. The role involves offering professional consultancy, advice, and educational services to support best practices and quality service delivery. This role is based on site in Regency Park. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Develop and deliver individual and group capacity-building supports. Teach functional life skills (communication, social, self-care, daily living, recreation, employment, community). Create and implement capacity-building programs. Assist participants in transitioning to permanent accommodation. Ensure compliance with NDIS requirements. Contribute to service planning, review, research, and evaluation. Adapt communication strategies for effectiveness. Identify networking opportunities for knowledge transfer. Clinical reasoning and creative problem-solving techniques to undertake appropriate assessments of complex cases Collaborate with PBS Practitioners for positive programming and support ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: Flexibility in diverse and challenging situations Experience with complex mental health needs Knowledge of psychosocial rehabilitation and capacity building Ability to implement individual and group programs Current 'C Class' Driver's Licence Valid NDIS Worker Screening or DHS Disability Clearance Valid Working with Children Check Willingness for Psychological Assessment if needed Eligibility to work in Australia Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g., Disability Developmental Education, Occupational Therapy, Psychology) ABOUT YOU Join CLO's dynamic operations team if you share our values and bring extensive industry experience.
