Our Isaac Plains Mine is a metallurgical coal mine owned and operated by Stanmore and located 20km's outside of Moranbah.
The Opportunity
Role
We have an opportunity for a HST Advisor role within the site team. This is a multi-faceted role that will see you work in a small team. You will attend to many tasks with the main ones being:
* Assist in the development, review and maintenance of the site's Safety and Health Management System (SHMS)
* Manage aspects of the Document control system to ensure SOPs and SHMS documents are maintained and accurate at all times
* Participate in and lead incident investigations
* Analyse metrics and reports to support the Health Safety Environment and Training functions provide the best advice to the management team.
* As part of our HSET team, we will ensure you receive the development you need to become a complete safety and training professional.
* Assist with various training functions when required
* Prepare and facilitate significant risk assessments
* Review and map regulatory requirements
* Prepare safety reports and analyse metrics
* Manage training governance framework including maintaining registers, documentation, and reporting for assurance, risk and SHMS reviews.
To be a success, it is expected you will have:
* A passion for safety as a way of life
* Experience in Mining or similar industry
* Qualifications in HSE (or progressing towards).
* Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment
* Collaborative and innovative individual with passion for emerging technologies and continued development and improvement
* Knowledge and experience managing systems in line with QLD coal mining legislation
* Excellent facilitation, presentation, interpersonal and communication skills
* Facilitation of Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedure reviews
* Firm understanding of Principal Hazard and Critical Control Management
