An exciting opportunity has become available for a motivated and experienced Midwife to lead the Midwifery Unit at a private hospital in Hobart.
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
As a NUM, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing leadership in a multidisciplinary environment, including mentorship of Level 2 registered midwives;
- Coordinating activities within the unit, including monitoring patient care, promoting patient and family participation in their care;
- Acting on feedback; leading and reporting on quality improvement activities, ensuring compliance with national standards;
- Managing human, physical and financial resources.
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Current AHPRA registration;
- Post Graduate Certificate in the related speciality area;
- Minimum of 2 years as a Level 2 Midwife;
- Leadership skills in a clinical setting;
- Excellent communication, time management, problem-solving and analytical skills;
- Documentation, reporting and presentation skills (including sound computer literacy);
- Effective and professional interaction with multidisciplinary team members;
- Active participation I and commitment t quality improvement.
