About the Opportunity
As a Production Operator (Fixed term contract) you will be a critical member of the team. We currently have both day and afternoon shifts available. You'll be responsible for carrying out production tasks necessary for operating plant and equipment to control raw material blending and packaging for the processing of finished goods. This is a 6-month fixed-term role.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Prepare and manage storage of raw materials for batching
* Load the mixer with the raw materials
* Operate the plant PLC system to produce products as set out within the production schedule
* Operate the packaging line and ensure product quality and performance standards are met
* Operate the forklift supplying raw material to the plant, storing incoming raw materials and finished goods
* Operate the small packaging line
* Operate both the 1k and 10K liquid plants
* Quality Compliance: perform all tasks in line with our Quality Management System
About You
You are a reliable and organised professional who thrives in a fast-paced production environment. You take pride in accuracy and understand the importance of attention to detail in maintaining smooth operations. You're someone who enjoys working as part of a team while being able to work independently when required.
What You Bring
* Familiarity with industrial environments and the ability to safely operate plant and equipment
* Experience with stock, warehousing and the processing of raw materials
* An ability to understand the operation of machinery, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, and the basic maintenance requirements of industrial equipment
* A forklift license is compulsory for this position
* Ability to follow all procedures and work instructions competently
* Supervisory skills not necessary, but an advantage
