The RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join an established technology business at the forefront of the renewable transition. You’ll work closely with sales, legal, and project teams to review and negotiate contracts, manage commercial risk, and support large-scale renewable and storage projects from tender through to execution.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead negotiation, drafting, and administration of EPC, Balance-of-Plant, transmission line, substation, and grid connection agreementsManage contractual interfaces with EPC contractors, transmission network service providers (TNSPs), distribution network service providers (DNSPs), and OEM partnersSupport contract strategy development, risk allocation, and commercial structuring for utility-scale BESS projectsAdminister contracts through execution, including variations, extensions of time, claims, liquidated damages, and performance guaranteesCoordinate closely with engineering and grid teams to ensure contractual alignment with technical scope, grid compliance, and connection requirementsSupport procurement activities including tender reviews, commercial evaluations, and contract award recommendationsInterface with legal advisors on contract terms, dispute resolution, and risk mitigation strategiesMaintain contract registers, approvals, and governance documentation in line with internal controlsProvide commercial and contractual support to project delivery teams through construction and commissioning phases
About YouDegree in Law, Finance, Business, Commerce, or a related discipline.6–10 years’ experience in contract management, ideally within renewable energy industrySound understanding of commercial law, risk assessment, and project finance.Excellent communication and analytical skills with a proactive, solution-driven mindset.Collaborative and adaptable, able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.Fluency in English is essential; additional languages would be a plus
