Want to deliver a smarter, more sustainable rail network? Sydney Trains' Tangara fleet makes up a quarter of our suburban rail fleet. The Tangara Fleet Life Extension project will upgrade systems, modernise onboard passenger info, and improve accessibility for mobility-impaired passengers. This project supports workforce development, local economies, and the growth of NSW's transportation industry.
In this role, you'll:
* Lead engineering support for the Tangara Fleet Life Extension (TFLE) project, advising on material conformance management between project and commercial partners.
* Coordinate with Design and Production Engineering to confirm parts conformance and identify suitable alternatives.
* Mentor and coach Project Engineers to develop their technical skills and enhance team capabilities.

About You
You have substantial experience supporting engineering design, production, project delivery, ideally within a rail environment. You demonstrate project management support, quality management, and adherence to standards like Australian Engineering standards. You also have mentoring experience providing technical leadership.
