Fixed Term: 12 months Full-time: 76 hours per fortnight Classification: Managers and Administrative Worker Grade 5 ($116,050-120,500 p/a (dependant on hours and experience)) Location: School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, St Kilda Rd Excellent staff benefits About us The Centre of Cardiovascular Research and Education in Therapeutics (CCRET) undertakes a broad range of clinical and applied research, from clinical trials to health services research and health economics, predominantly in (but not limited to) cardiovascular and related diseases. It houses major clinical registries in cardiovascular diseases, which not only support research but also inform the quality and safety of clinical care. The Centre is highly collaborative, and most of its projects involve multiple research and clinical partners. About the role The Project Manager will be responsible for establishing, operationalising and managing a new national cardiac procedural registry. The Project Manager will establish strong links and work with a range of stakeholders from across Australia, including external consultants as required. The Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of project management, including delivery of the project in accordance with agreed timeframes, budget, protocols, standards and desired strategic outcomes. The Project Manager will oversee a range of significant and complex activities that play a critical role in supporting the successful achievement of key outcomes for this new registry against the overarching project deliverables. This role is responsible for managing the operations of the registry and hiring additional staff. The Project Manager will manage relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external. The Project Manager will utilise specialist knowledge and leverage off existing cardiac registry expertise within the CCRET to provide expert advice on registry related matters and lead change initiatives where required to ensure the successful delivery of the project. Working collaboratively with others within the CCRET, the Project Manager will play a role in streamlining activities and processes for the registry, the unit, and in identifying and sharing best practices.
