Overview
Your role as a Field Service Auto Electrician will be based in the Kalgoorlie Branch and will service surrounding customers in the Goldfields region. Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, you will be part of a busy operation carrying out repairs and maintenance on a variety of Caterpillar equipment, including underground, surface, building and construction machines. This work is performed in a collaborative, team environment with a strong focus on safety.
Location and Schedule
Location: Kalgoorlie, WA, AU and surrounding Goldfields area.
* Roster: 10 days on, 4 days off, 10.5 hours per day (including a 30-minute unpaid meal break) – Residential
* 14 days on, 7 days off – 10.5 hours per day (including a 30-minute unpaid meal break) – FIFO
* FIFO from Perth or Residential
What you'll do
* Maintain and repair Caterpillar products in the field from the Kalgoorlie branch and across the Goldfields region on various customer sites.
* Carry out repairs, maintenance and servicing and manage work orders.
* Contribute to Caterpillar product improvement plans and product support programs while maintaining a safe work environment.
Skills & Experience
* Australian recognised Automotive Electrical Technology Trade Certificate with post-trade experience
* Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in an isolated and remote environment
* Ability to work and seek out work opportunities without continuous direct supervision
* Previous post-trade Caterpillar experience in a field service environment
* Strong safety values
* Ability to organise work teams and delegate tasks
* Extensive diagnostic and fault-finding skills
* Forklift ticket
* Minimum LR Drivers Licence
* Caterpillar product knowledge and maintenance experience
