Following a recent announcement by the Australian Government to investigate the acquisition of UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters from the US Government, Lockheed Martin Australia is looking to establish a core team of experienced military Rotary Wing professionals to support the potential procurement and sustainment activities. **Your responsibilities will include**:
- Undertake aircraft maintenance under the supervision of a Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME).
- Perform assigned aircraft and/or aircraft component maintenance tasks in accordance with all applicable regulatory authority requirements (CASA, EASA, FAA and DASA), Approved Maintenance Data, and company standards and requirements.
- Maintenance tasks may include, but are not limited to, scheduled and unscheduled inspections, servicings, repairs, maintenance, removal/ installations, modifications and STIs on applicable aircraft systems, components, role equipment or ground support equipment.
- Ensure all documentation relating to work performed are signed and, where company approved, certified in a timely manner as required by company procedure.
- Record all unserviceabilities discovered during maintenance.
- Detect and identify defects and assist in drafting appropriate reports.
- Perform and document Foreign Object Damage (FOD) checks.
- Maintain high personal standards of workmanship so that the joint objectives of aircraft safety, reliability, minimum downtime, and controlled costs are achieved at all times.
- Identify and comply with company procedures for ordering, recording and reporting repair part, tooling and consumable requirements.
- Comply with all technical documentation requirements to ensure maintenance manuals, instructions, records and other documents used during maintenance activities are correct, applicable and adequate for the task.
- Where trained and deemed competent/ licensed, operate applicable tools, equipment and Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
**About you**:
- Essential requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications (Certificate IV or above) in a relevant discipline (Aeroskills - Avionics, Mechanical, Structures etc.) from a recognised institution
- Appropriate aircraft trade qualifications (eg. trade papers, apprenticeship, indentures etc).
- Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of at least one of the following regulatory frameworks: AMO, CASA, EASA and/ or FAA.
- Computer literacy with an ability to produce, analyse, and interpret complex reports and information
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels
- Ability to work as an effective team member in a professional environment
- Proven ability to exercise judgement and maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive matters
- Proven ability to manage multiple, concurrent tasks which have competing demands, while understanding and managing priorities, dependencies and risk
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve moderately complex issues using standard and non-standard procedures
**Special Requirements**:
- Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information including citizenship to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.
