About the Role
Bring lived experience to life as a Peer Specialist, supporting recovery in community rehabilitation settings. You’ll build trust, create safe spaces and strengthen wellbeing alongside consumers and teams. Help shape services that value hope, choice and lived expertise.
Duties
• Share lived experience to model recovery and self-belief
• Plan and run peer groups that build wellbeing and self-care
• Support consumers with practical, strengths-based strategies
• Work alongside clinical teams to complement care
• Build peer capacity and encourage peer-led ideas
• Contribute to service planning, review and improvement
About You
You bring lived experience, empathy and purpose to your work. You know what recovery can look like and are ready to use your insight to support others, work alongside clinical teams and help people build hope, skills and connection.
• Lived experience of mental health challenges and recovery
• Experience supporting consumers in group or peer settings
• Understanding of recovery, trauma-informed and strengths-based care
• Ability to share wellbeing strategies with consumers and teams
• Collaborative communicator who values supervision and teamwork
