**About the Role**
Ahrens are seeking an experienced Crane Operator to join our passionate and driven site erectrion team. In this role you will be involved in not only crane operation but a variety of other steel & site erection activities as needed, alongside completing lift studies & plans as and where required. The successful applicant will safely operate cranes, lifting a broad range of items from structural steel to mechanical equipment, and where required, operate a crane on third party hire.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Operate Construction Equipment (Cranes, EWP's, Scissor Lifts, Forklifts, Tele-handlers)
- Undertake pre-operational inspections and communicate all servicing, mechanical needs with your supervisors.
- Undertake or arrange regular maintenance of both crane and rigging equipment.
- Take direction from Site Manager / Project Manager as required for day to day operations of the building works.
- To work as a co-operative team member and contribute to the enhancement of team outputs.
- To execute all work in a safe manner and to ensure all Company OH&S policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Assist in general site erection activities as required
**Skills and Experience**
- Have a C1 Crane Licence, a valid EMP Ticket & White Card
- The ability to satisfactorily complete a company pre-employment medical.
- Own a crane licence / dogman ticket
- Ability to travel when needed and carry a valid drivers licence and HR Truck Licence.
- A committed team member
- Forklift Licence
- Experience in a similar environment
- Demonstrated ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with Supervisors and other team members.
- The ability to carry out labouring tasks associated with the running of construction sites.
