Company Robert Half is currently recruiting an Accountant for a highly regarded and well-known company based in Port Melbourne. This role will be an ongoing temporary position which could lead to a permanent opportunity. Working within a friendly, professional and driven team this role will require you to take ownership of the timely and accurate financial reporting of a number of high-profile divisions within the company. Proven financial accounting skills with the ability to meet tight reporting deadlines while working closely with key stakeholders will be essential to the success of this role. The Role Reporting to the Financial Controller, your duties will include: Timely & accurate delivery of monthly accounting reports (P&L and Balance Sheet) Consolidation of divisional accounting reports Delivering of financial accounting information to relevant stakeholders Complex Balance Sheet reconciliations Interpretation & understanding of complex contractual agreements Revenue recognition Cost analysis Monthly variance& KPI analysis Supporting of transactional team members Your Profile To be successful, you will be fully qualified (CPA / CA) and have proven senior accounting experience in a complex and multi-site company. Advanced Excel ability coupled with strong ERP experience is also essential for this role. The following attributes will also be highly advantageous: Ability to build relationships across all levels of an organisation Able to start immediately Ability to work independently A thorough understanding of accounting concepts and accounting standards Previous accounting experience within the automotive dealer industry will be highly regarded. You must be able to work full time in the office initially, although work from home opportunities exist once you are comfortable within this position.
