Christian Community Ministries (CCM) was established in 2003 to provide administrative, financial, development and human resource services to a growing network of Christian schools throughout Australia. Today, it owns and operates fifteen schools, eight in Queensland, two in New South Wales, one in the ACT, three in South Australia, two in Western Australia and an outdoor education facility. Early Learning Centres are associated with seven of our schools. Approximately 7,600 students receive Christian schooling through CCM. The aim of CCM is to provide a values-based, Christian education for all who desire it.

Applications are invited for the position of Primary Teacher, based at the newly established Rivers Christian College, Inverell NSW. This position is for a Primary School classroom teacher working within a multi-age class structure in the early years of the College.

Position Summary

This position is for a Primary School classroom teacher working within a multi-age class structure in the early years of the College. As Rivers Christian College Inverell is a newly established Christian school, staff should expect to work collaboratively in a pioneering environment where flexibility, problem-solving, and initiative is essential. As part of our inaugural staff, you will have a unique opportunity to help shape the identity of our school, develop effective multi-age learning practices, and contribute to building a vibrant, Christ-centred community that will impact generations to come.

* Strong curriculum and pedagogical knowledge aligned with the Australian Curriculum, AITSL Standards, and evidence-based explicit teaching.
* Ability to integrate a Biblical worldview authentically into teaching and pastoral practice.
* Effective classroom management and behaviour support, using proactive and restorative approaches.
* Competence in differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs while maintaining high expectations.
* Skill in assessment and reporting, using data to inform teaching and provide accurate, meaningful feedback.
* Capacity to support students' holistic wellbeing – spiritual, emotional, social, and academic.
* Strong communication skills and positive relationship-building with students, families, and colleagues.
* Thoughtful, developmentally aware integration of technology consistent with the College's technology philosophy.
* Sound professional judgement, ethics, confidentiality, and Christ-like character.
* Ability to collaborate within a small, pioneering team and contribute to whole-school development.
* Commitment to reflective practice and continuous improvement.

Required Experience

* You must hold a tertiary qualification in Education from a recognised higher education provider.
* You must meet the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) requirements for teacher accreditation, and be eligible for, or currently hold, active NESA teacher accreditation before commencing duties.
* Prior experience in a Christian school or ministry context will be highly regarded.
