Security Electronics Technician

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Data & Security Electronics Technician to join our small, professional team. This role suits a highly capable technician with strong experience across electronic security systems and data communications.
You will be responsible for end-to-end job delivery, including installations, servicing, customer interaction, and associated administration.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out data and electronic security installations and service work to a high standard, meeting or exceeding relevant legislation and Australian Standards.
* Manage job schedules and collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of work.
* Liaise with third-party contractors and in-house IT departments for larger client projects.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance and invoicing purposes.
* Ensure all required licences, tickets, and clearances are current and maintained for site access.
Requirements
* Certificate III or higher in Electrotechnology or a related field.
* Proven industry experience in electronic security and data communications.
* Open Registration Cabler's Licence.
* Security Licence – Installer certification.
* Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and Australian Standards.
* Current First Aid & CPR certification.
* Working at Heights certification.
* Elevated Work Platform (EWP) ticket.
* Strong experience with domestic and commercial-grade security systems and CCTV.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Availability for participation in an on-call rotational roster.
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position.
Nice to Have (Desirable)
* Advanced programming experience with commercial or industrial security systems for system integration.
* Knowledge of IT networking and basic cyber security principles.
