Overview
* The Coding Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the three-pregnancy outcome unit registry collections and staff : Pregnancy Outcomes, Termination of Pregnancies and Perinatal and Maternal Mortality registries. This role provides leadership and guidance to coding staff including supervision and coordination, recruitment, and ongoing training to ensure coding consistency and quality.
* The Coding Manager Pregnancy Outcome Unit (POU) undertakes a range of support activities that contribute to the provision of quality and timely outcomes associated with the Pregnancy Outcome Unit. In particular this includes quality assurance in data ascertainment and data processing, participation in the preparation of technical reports, liaison with officers assisting the Supplementary Birth Record, preparation of regular status reports.
* The Coding Manager, POU will be responsible for regular liaison with data suppliers, internal and external customers, identifying useful software upgrades including testing of software and procedural modifications, coordinating with analysts and epidemiologists, participating in the preparation of technical reports and, regular status reports.

* A 'National Police Certificate' NPC (also known as a 'Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check' NCCHC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment)
Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact)
SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease : Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
