Part-Time Ongoing role – 4 days per week

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Education Officer to participate in the development, delivery, and evaluation of the State Library's learning programs, particularly those designed for K-12 students, teachers, children and families, students of the library and information profession and lifelong learners. We deliver learning programs onsite, online and on tour around NSW. This role involves developing and delivering programs for a variety of curriculum areas including History, Geography, English and Visual Arts.

In this role you will -

* Ensure the delivery of effective and engaging programs (onsite, online and on tour) across a range of subjects to enhance access and understanding of the Library collections and resources, for students and teachers, K–12, youth, families, lifelong learners, and students of the library and information profession.
* Contribute to the development and evaluation of creative and innovative programs and learning resources covering a variety of curricula for both onsite and online audiences.
* Contribute to the development of online learning resources which address curriculum outcomes.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have the following knowledge and experience:

* Relevant tertiary qualifications in primary, secondary or K-12 school education, together with teaching experience in a school at primary or secondary level or experience as an educator in a cultural organisation.
* A satisfactory Working With Children Check (WWCC).
* Current Class C NSW Drivers Licence.
* Currently holds a First Aid Certificate or is willing to obtain one if needed for operational requirements.
* Be willing to work on occasional weekends
