Your future duties and responsibilities
As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of secure, scalable applications supporting defence and space systems.
Key responsibilities include:
* Designing, developing, and maintaining full stack applications across front‐end and back‐end systems
* Building secure, high-performance software solutions for Defence and Space environments
* Collaborating with cross‐functional teams including systems, network, and Satcom engineers
* Developing APIs, microservices, and user interfaces to support mission systems
* Participating in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices
* Troubleshooting, debugging, and optimising system performance
* Ensuring compliance with security, accreditation, and quality standards
* Contributing to system documentation, architecture design, and technical decision‐making
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
* Proven experience in full stack software development
* Proficiency in one or more front‐end frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, Vue)
* Strong back‐end development experience (e.g. Java, Python, Node.js, .NET)
* Experience with APIs, microservices architectures, and modern development practices
* Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes), or DevSecOps practices (desirable)
* Strong problem‐solving skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work effectively in secure, multidisciplinary environments
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Active NV2 or PV Security Clearance (mandatory)
