About the Opportunity
This role provides critical operational support for research activities, ensuring the smooth running of research processes and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and support research grants from development to submission and reporting.
* Advise academic staff on research compliance, policies, and funding requirements, liaising with relevant departments.
* Prepare and manage financial administration, data reporting, and analysis related to research.
* Maintain strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the university and external partners.
* Contribute to process improvements and support research strategy.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will have experience in research administration within higher education and be able to work independently as a key contact for all research administration matters. You should be detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized, with excellent communication, stakeholder management, and data administration skills.
Requirements:
* A relevant degree with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
* Experience in higher education research administration, particularly grant processes and knowledge of research policies and procedures.
* Experience reviewing complex research funding rules and agreements, providing advice, maintaining financial records, preparing budgets, and regularly reporting on expenditure against budgets.
* Excellent communication skills to influence, negotiate, and support stakeholders.
* Demonstrated analytical skills to interpret data and develop guidelines, policies, and procedures.

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $92,716 - $101,691 per annum, plus 17% employer's contribution to superannuation.
