**Position overview**
ANU has an international reputation for research and education relevant to the health and well-being of the population of Australia, as well as that of the developing world. The ANU College of Health and Medicine comprises the School of Medicine and Psychology, the John Curtin School of Medical Research and the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health. The Laboratory Support Officer will assist the Laboratory Manager by providing safe and efficient support for laboratory-based research. The Laboratory Support Officer will work under the broad direction of the Laboratory Managers and liaise closely with the JCSMR academic and qualified staff and students. This position will support the management of the day-today laboratory operational aspects and support for JCSMR researchers including provision of routine housekeeping, assisting with general lab operations inquiries and overseeing upkeep of shared lab spaces and school based equipment and infrastructure.
