This means we encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, people with disabilities, LGBTIQ+ and from culturally diverse backgrounds to apply for this job, with age being no barrier.Job DescriptionThe opportunity:We are looking for a Mental Health Nurse to join our supportive and professional multidisciplinary teams one night per week working a 5 hour shift.Responsibilities include but are not limited to;Provide clinical nursing services via face to face, telephone and telehealth modalitiesDeliver evidence-based interventionsUndertake comprehensive assessment of mental state and psychosocial, functional and physical health needs of clients and care planningWork with other professionals in a collaborative care approachUndertake risk assessments of clients and develop risk management plans to provide a safe environment for the client and othersEstablish a therapeutic relationship with the clientProvide medication reviewWork collaboratively with GPs, psychiatrists, allied health workers such as psychologists and others involved in the client’s careWork collaboratively with the client’s family, carers and other supportsMake referrals to other services when it is in the interest of clients to do so and with the client’s informed consentDesired Skills and ExperienceApproved qualification in Mental Health Nursing; Minimum: Graduate Diploma in Mental Health NursingCurrent and ongoing registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)Credentialed Mental Health Nurse with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (ACMHN)Extensive experience in mental health nursing, in a range of clinical settingsExperience in providing recovery orientated, strengths based, person centred family sensitive, trauma informed practicePlease apply here by submitting a cover letter addressing the key selection criteria with your CV.
