About the role

We seek a talented and motivated Interior Designer, Interior Architect or Interior Technician with 8+ years of professional post graduate experience to join our Melbourne Studio. You will have strong technical design development and project delivery experience. You will have strong client relationship management skills and experience mentoring or leading others.

You will work alongside established design leaders who will encourage and support you to further develop your craft and give you room to make an impact. Your ability and drive to learn, innovate and deliver will be honed through access to high-quality projects with ambitious clients. You will be responsible for:

* Producing high-quality design work from concept phase through to completion
* Preparing presentations, material boards including digital presentations for clients
* Contributing to material and FFE selections and sourcing and library organisation
* Assisting the team across all aspects of the design process, including project initiation, conceptual design and technical delivery phases
* Maintaining and updating drawing files
* Ensuring project milestones and deadlines are met
* Leading teams and working collaboratively across all project phases from briefing, space planning, concept, with a focus on detail design through to documentation and delivery
* Planning and preparing developed design and documentation, working through design options and detailing Revit drawings and schedules
* Liaising and coordinating with sub-consultants and suppliers
* Keep abreast of development in design technology, techniques and trends.


Skills required:

* Bachelor or Master of Architecture or Interior Architecture or Interior Design from an Australian University or recognised equivalent tertiary qualification
* Approximately 5+ years post graduate experience
* Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp and InDesign (Adobe Suite)
* Technical and sustainability skills that transform design ideas to detailed drawings and enable project delivery that is code compliant and integrates sustainability principles
* Flexibility to work across scale, sector and discipline
* Strong communication and time management skills
* Ability to multi-task and have a proactive approach
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with clients, teams and stakeholders
* Self-motivated approach and positive outlook
* Project leadership and design management experience
