Best Blast Southwest is seeking a skilled Sand Blaster - Spray Painter to join our team in Bunbury, WA. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in maintaining and restoring surfaces across a variety of industries.
What you'll be doing
* Preparing surfaces by removing rust, old paint, and other contaminants using sandblasting techniques
* Sanding and seam sealing of components before application of topcoats
* Day to day maintenance of workshop tools, equipment, air compressors and forklifts
* Ensuring a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail in all tasks
* Adhering to all health and safety protocols to minimize risks
* Maintaining and cleaning equipment to keep it in optimal working condition
* Collaborating with the wider team to meet project deadlines and deliver exceptional results for our clients
What we're looking for
* Proven experience as a sand blaster and spray painter, ideally within the trades and services industry. Minimum of 2 years full time employment in one position
* Strong knowledge of surface preparation techniques and the application of various coatings via airless and air assisted spray guns
* High attention to detail and pride in company reputation
* Commitment to working safely and following all relevant regulations and procedures
* Reliable, hardworking, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* Must speak and understand fluent English
