Our growing Advisory team has an exciting opportunity for a **Principal Consultant | Program Advisory**, to join our Sydney team and work on some exciting projects and support our clients transform how their projects, programs and portfolios are delivered. We are looking for someone who has previous experience as a management consultant and is passionate about continuously helping clients improve in every aspect of their business.
**Job Description**:
As a **Principal Consultant**, you will support, and in some cases lead, Consulting commission, taking responsibility for client engagement and team leadership for both our clients and team, including:
- To act as day-to-day client consultant, ensuring that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets and the appropriate quality standards.
- Taking responsibility for specific deliverables, often with respect to significant cultural change, new ways of working and capital program capability uplift.
- Identifying improvement or efficiency opportunities and driving through to implementation through consulting change management and delivery.
- Producing clear, concise and persuasive client-facing reports or deliverables in various formats that deliver to client expectations and demonstrate value.
- In addition to these primary activities, you will be charged with the following activities:
- To provide complementary services to core Turner & Townsends propositions such as project management, cost management, contract services and program management.
- Managing change proactively with client stakeholders
- Deploying a variety of techniques to deliver improvements to client operations that include, but are not limited to, process re-engineering, organisational change, stakeholder management implementation and beyond.
- Leading the establishment of the overall success criteria for the consulting engagements.
- Establishing effective client governance, processes and systems to be utilised throughout projects, programs and portfolios.
- Implementation planning, including ensuring the production of the detailed project plan.
- Producing coherent and persuasive cases for change.
- To support the development of consulting and advisory sales opportunities with new or existing clients and convert successfully through high quality bid writing.
- Support translating client strategy into clear action plans that make a tangible difference.
- ** Program Setup**
- Development of Project, Program and Portfolio Management Frameworks
- Development of Project, Program and Portfolio Governance Frameworks
- Development of Commercial Management Frameworks

- Delivery of large-scale complex real estate programs
- Stakeholder and workshop facilitation
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Good understanding of business improvement approaches including business process re-engineering, system development, change management and other relevant techniques.

**Qualifications**:
- A minimum of 5 - 10 years consulting experience.
- Experience of working across real estate sectors or infrastructure or natural resources and both private and public sectors
- Professional accreditation desirable i.e.PMP, PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
- Degree in business management / program management, engineering, quantity surveying or similar
- Self-sufficient in leading client process, improvement, change, & transformation
- High degree of capability in delivering capital projects, programs and portfolio management
- Professionally qualified in one of the following fields: management consulting, busin
