The Brisbane Building Services team is currently engaged in a broad portfolio of projects, with a strong emphasis on key initiatives in transport, defence, civic infrastructure, and commercial sectors. The team is made up of professionals ranging from graduate engineers to technical directors, offering a rich mix of perspectives and expertise. What you'll do
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer you will be part of a wider network of professional engineers working on both local and national projects. Specific activities will include, but are not limited to:
* Provide mechanical design expertise on single and multi-disciplinary projects
* Deliver best practice and outcomes for clients, saving on costs and time
* Take lead on small to medium size engineering design projects and support larger projects
* Communicate effectively with all external and internal stakeholders and project teams
* Be a supporting figure and mentor for lesser experienced engineers
* Build solid client relationships and recognize business development opportunities (desirable)
* Represent and promote the business with the local and regional markets
Qualifications
* Hold a recognized Tertiary Qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
* Demonstrated expertise in designing mechanical services systems (air conditioning, heating, and ventilation systems).
* Have the ability to coordinate and understand relevant building services disciplines, including Electrical, Hydraulic, Fire Protection, and Environmentally Sustainable Design.
* Proven project experience in the building services sector across a range of large projects
* Possess a working knowledge of Australian building codes and standards
* Ensure registration (or eligibility for registration) in the professional engineer register of the relevant state for the building/construction industry.
* Demonstrate a history of effectively managing competing priorities, prioritizing work, and meeting tight deadlines.
