The Human Resources Coordinator will provide pivotal support to both the Director of Human Resources and management team with all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
As we are in the pre-opening stage, you will get to play a part in creating and building how the HR function will operate once the hotels are open.A little taste of your day-to-dayManage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and offboarding processes for our hotel colleagues, ensuring a seamless experience in partnership with Human Resources Officer.Support learning & development initiatives, including onboarding sessions and maintaining training records.Respond to general colleague enquiries.Assist in drafting and updating HR policies, procedures, contracts, and communications.Coordinate employee engagement initiatives to promote a positive workplace culture.Ensure compliance with Hospitality Industry General Award and any other applicable awards and employment legislation.What we need from youAbility to work autonomously, be proactive and take accountability for workload and key deliverables within project timelines.Ability to manage multiple tasks whilst demonstrating attention to detail and accuracy in all work.Proven ability to flex and adapt to varying situations and problem solve.Strong communications skills that can build professional rapport with department managers, leaders and colleagues.Tertiary studies in Human Resources, Training or Business Administration preferred.Previous HR experience within Hotel Industry or within Tourism and Hospitality is desired.Minimum of one (1) years' experience in a Human Resources generalist capacity.Tech savvy and able to learn new systems easily.Full working rights within Australia with no restrictions.What you can expect from usNot only will you benefit from a truly unique and career-defining opportunity as part of this exciting hotel opening, but you'll receive a competitive salary that rewards all your hard work and a wide range of benefits designed to help you live your best work life – including impressive room discounts and some of the best training in the business.Most importantly, your career journey will be supported through our lifelong development programs, IHG career milestone celebrations, and transfer of leave entitlements as you move and grow with IHG.Our mission is to welcome everyone and create inclusive teams where we celebrate differences and encourage colleagues to bring their whole selves to work.
