Base pay range
A$80,743.00/yr - A$95,481.00/yr
As an ASD 4 Project Support Officer, you will be responsible for supporting an integrated team and contribute to aspects of the Capability Life Cycle. This will entail:
* Understanding the vision of a project's outcomes and associated benefits.
* Supporting senior staff in the translation of requirements into project plans.
* Understanding the importance of project costs, schedule and expected benefits.
* Assisting with financial and procurement processes to support project goals.
* Providing administrative and logistical support, including documentation management, meeting coordination.
* Ongoing self-development of written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate information coherently and concisely to a diverse range of stakeholders.
* Developing an analytical approach to work.
* Remaining responsive and flexible, adapting as priorities change.
* Demonstrating interpersonal skills to foster and promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture that aligns with ASD values.
* Providing support to / following direction from senior staff under supervision.
* Accepting opportunities for mentoring/coaching.
As an ASD 5 Project Support Officer, you will be responsible for supporting an integrated team and contribute to aspects of the Capability Life Cycle. This will entail:
* Understanding the vision of a project's outcomes and associated benefits.
* Understanding project management practices to support iterative/agile project delivery.
* Demonstrating an in-depth understanding of the importance of project costs, schedule and expected benefits.
* Provide project coordination and monitoring support including tracking progress of activities against schedules, communication between relevant project stakeholders and identifying issues or risks to project deliverables.
* Supporting senior staff in the translation of requirements into project plans.
* Providing administrative and logistical support, including documentation management, meeting coordination, reporting writing (inclusive of extracting from data sources) and the drafting and progressing of financial and procurement documentation.
* Engaging with and supporting communication (written and oral) to a diverse range of stakeholders.
* Demonstrating an analytical approach to work.
* Remaining responsive and flexible, adapting as priorities change.
* Demonstrating interpersonal skills to foster and promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture that aligns with ASD values.
* Accepting opportunities for mentoring or coaching.

ASD's Capability and Transformation Group has a broad scope of responsibilities, ranging from the delivery and execution of leading-edge mission capability and tools to an overarching portfolio view of ASD and the implementation of REDSPICE. The five Divisions include Cloud, Enterprise Technology, Mission Capability, Mission Data and Portfolio & Transformation.
Each Division drives project management maturity improvements and is comprised of members of diverse skills and disciplines who work together to deliver positive capability development outcomes for all stakeholders. Our Ideal Candidate
As an ASD 4-5 Project Support Officer, our ideal candidate will:
* Have a desire to work in a project environment and willingness to learn.
* Have an interest in and ability to learn new digital applications.
* Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills both in person and online.
* Show high attention to detail and an analytical approach.
* Be able to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team of both APS, ADF and Contractors to ASD.
* Display adaptability and a positive, inclusive attitude.
* Have an understanding of, or experience in agile project management.
