Early Childhood Development Specialist
We are seeking an Early Childhood Development Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to contribute to the development of early childhood programs in a dynamic and supportive environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience in developing and implementing culturally appropriate developmental play and learning experiences for children.
As an Early Childhood Development Specialist, you will be responsible for:
* Coordinating the planning, implementation, and review of developmental play and learning experiences for children;
* Facilitating weekly playgroup sessions and engaging with vulnerable and avoidant families;
* Identifying and addressing physical, social/emotional, and educational needs;
* Providing information and referrals to families to access other relevant services;
* Monitoring processes and carrying out data collection and reporting.
This is a part-time position working 24 hours per week, Monday to Thursday until 30 June 2026. Based in Bowen, you will be part of our North Queensland team and report to a Team Leader.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Knowledge and experience in working with culturally diverse communities;
* Well-developed time management and organisational skills;
* Exceptional teamwork and communication skills;
* Strong computer and data collection skills;
* Minimum Certificate III in Children's Services (or equivalent qualification).
