Job Overview
We currently have a permanent opportunity available for a Maintainer Operator based at Callide Power Station in Biloela. Reporting to the Team Leader Ash Operations, you will safely operate, maintain and care for the Callide Fly Ash processing plant. Your day‐to‐day tasks include operation of the ash processing plant, maintenance of plant equipment, sampling and testing/recording ash quality and liaising with power station personnel.
Responsibilities
* Operate the ash processing plant.
* Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance on ash process equipment including pneumatic conveying equipment, air classifier and pumps.
* Sample and analyze ash quality.
* Commission plant equipment when required.
* Maintain appropriate stock levels.
* Engage with Cement Australia Supply Chain & Logistics and other stakeholders regarding site rules and power station requirements.
* Ensure customer deliveries are to specification and on time.
* Contribute to a safe work environment, participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks and comply with SHEQ policies.
* Work shift roster: Monday to Friday, weekend shifts and afternoon/evening shift covers when required.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Basic computer skills.
* Experience in a similar process operator role desirable.
* Light vehicle licence required.
* Forklift and EWP licences desirable; training offered if required.
* Strong safety focus.
* Ability to work unsupervised.
* Troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
* Flexibility to adjust shift patterns and ash processing sites, including weekend and public holiday work.
