Job Overview
Woolpert's Digital Delivery Team is looking for a Support Consultant! You may choose to be based in our Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne, Sydney or Adelaide office for this hybrid role.Reporting to the Project & Support Manager, the role gives you the opportunity to work with customers to resolve technical support cases raised through our geospatial help desk.As a full‐time role, you must have Full Working Rights in Australia and will undergo a National Police Background Check (covered by Woolpert).You will be based on a hybrid schedule and may have discretion for flexible work arrangements where operational needs allow.
Responsibilities
* Be the trusted point of contact for customers, resolve first and second level software support requests with confidence and care.
* Manage customer phone calls and e‐mails through our Helpdesk system and liaise with internal staff to triage and resolve technical support issues.
* Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve software issues across our geospatial platforms, including VertiGIS Geocortex and Esri ArcGIS.
* Provide regular reporting on support KPIs.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in IT, computer science, software engineering or geomatics.
* Hands‐on experience supporting Microsoft‐based environments, including Windows OS, Active Directory and common desktop or server applications.
* Solid understanding of core networking concepts such as IP addressing, DNS, firewalls and basic diagnostics.
* Experience identifying and diagnosing issues in web‐based applications, including understanding how HTTP/HTTPS requests, responses and authentication flows work.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders at all levels.
Desirable Experience
* Exposure to reading or writing code in any language with an understanding of logic, variables and error handling.
* Experience with scripting or automation (e.g. batch files or PowerShell) to support repeatable tasks or diagnostics.
* Familiarity with GIS and/or CAD applications, particularly Esri ArcGIS and VertiGIS, or a strong interest in developing skills in spatial technologies.
* Knowledge of corporate or cloud networking environments, including on‐premises to cloud connectivity and common security controls.

* Current driver's licence.
* Current passport.
