Remuneration: Counsellor Lvl 1/2: $37.03 - $52.83 per hour; Occupational Therapist Lvl 1/2: $37.03 - $52.83 per hour; Psychologist: $39.01 - $57.10 per hour; Registered Nurse: $36.39 - $51.09 per hour; Social Worker Lvl 1/2: $37.03 - $52.83 per hour; Welfare Officer Lvl 1/2: $37.03 - $52.83 per hour

About the Service: Community Mental Health Clinicians – making a real difference in people’s lives. Our team provides expert assessment, therapy, and care coordination for individuals navigating mental health challenges in their local community. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team committed to promoting recovery and resilience.
What You’ll Be Doing: The Community Mental Health Clinician provides recovery-focused clinical services including assessment, care coordination, intervention, liaison and review as part of a multidisciplinary team for older people referred to the service with mental illness, mental disorder or moderate–severe behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia.
Selection Criteria:
- Tertiary Qualifications and current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist OR tertiary qualifications for Social Worker, Counsellor or Welfare Officer with eligibility for membership of the relevant professional association.
- Demonstrated experience in contemporary Older Persons Mental Health practice including mental health assessments and evidence-based interventions for older people with mental illness or dementia-related symptoms.
- Understanding of the NSW Mental Health Act (2007).
- Understanding of mental health rehabilitation and recovery concepts; demonstrated experience with collaborative, strengths-based care.
- High-level communication skills to engage with consumers, families, carers and stakeholders; high proficiency in computer literacy.
- Current unrestricted driver's licence and ability to drive/travel as required, including long distances.
