Overview
Parkerville Steiner College invites applications for: Guitar Tutor - Casual position, 4 x 45-minute sessions on Wednesdays, Term Time. Music in a Steiner High School. The Arts is a central part of life at Parkerville Steiner College. Every student learns an instrument, and music-making is woven through the high school years. Working alongside the school's Music Teacher and other tutors, the Guitar Tutor supports students to deepen their musical understanding and contribute to band performances.
What This Role Is About
We're looking for a guitarist who enjoys working with young people (Year 7 – 10) and sharing the experience of making music to teach Class 7 – 10 in small groups.
What Youd Do
* Teach four 45-minute small-group guitar sessions on Wednesdays during the school term.
* Support students in developing technical skill and musical confidence.
* Work collaboratively with the Music Teacher and other instrumental tutors.
* Assist students preparing for performances and school events.
* Contribute to a positive and engaging music program.

Youll Need
* Strong guitar skills and musical knowledge.
* Experience teaching music to young people or small groups (desirable).
* Current Working With Children Check.

Role Structure
This role includes four 45-minute guitar sessions on Wednesdays between 11:00 am and 2:35 pm during the school term. There is also the potential for this position to be combined with a Band Assistant role on Mondays, supporting student ensembles and performances.
